

Baro Lucas wins the L’Oréal Paris Award for Best Collection; África Garcia receives the L’Oréal Paris Award for Best Model, and Guillermo Décimo garners the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent award at the 40th anniversary of MBFWMadrid

MBFWMadrid culminates its 40th anniversary with accolades for established and emerging talent, welcoming new formats and voices in Spanish fashion.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid concluded its 40th anniversary edition today after five days of fashion shows, creativity, and talent. The milestone has served to highlight the role of Spanish fashion, including renowned designers, emerging talents and the new formats, laying the foundation for a new catwalk show strategy.
The event, supported by the Madrid City Council, celebrated its four decades of history by confirming its position as the leading catwalk show in Spain and an increasingly international showcase, combining venues around the city, such as IFEMA MADRID Hall 14.1.
This edition saw the début of fresh names such as International Guest Designer Silvia Tcherassi, Paris64, The Label Edition, and Flabelus, as well as the return of some major names in the national fashion scene, including Adolfo Domínguez and Palomo.
On the EGO platform, among the emerging talents participating were SLV FRR, Antonio del Canto, Dimoni Studio, Skinsfromtheinsideofmymouth, Antonio Acuario, Asier Quintana, Emeerree, Studio Cumbre and Guillermo Décimo with collections full of aesthetic diversity and narrative experimentation, underlining the strength of EGO as a talent incubator.
Landmark fashion awards at MBFWMadrid
Baro Lucas was awarded the L’Oréal Paris Award for the Best Collection for Tempus Fugit. The winning collection combines nostalgia, aesthetic freedom, and meticulous execution to showcase his personal perspective. Meanwhile, the L’Oréal Paris Award for the Best Model was won by 23-year-old África García, who was named the best model of the event, in the wake of her international success for several seasons. The coveted Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent award went to Guillermo Décimo, with his collection “In Tempo”, which advocates for haute couture as timeless work, where each stitch is a note and time becomes the unifying element of original pieces.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid featured the participation of companies loyal to the event and committed to the Spanish fashion sector. In addition to the special collaboration of Casa Decor, which appointed interior designer Raúl Martins, Extraordinary Award 2025, to decorate the Kissing Room with an inspiring, fresh and bright project full of fashion and interior design.
