Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, the leading fashion platform organized by IFEMA MADRID in partnership with Madrid City Council, continues to strengthen its international vision by welcoming Latin American Fashion Awards as a special guest of its upcoming Spring/Summer 2027 edition.
As part of this collaboration, Constanza Cavalli Etro and Silvia Argüello, co-founders of Latin American Fashion Awards, will receive the new Fashion Game Changers Recognition, an award celebrating their visionary contribution to reshaping the narrative around Latin American fashion and elevating the region’s position within the global industry.
"Latin America is a creative force that is transforming the global fashion industry. Since founding the Latin American Fashion Awards, our mission has been to build an open-access platform that creates opportunities, breaks down barriers, and connects our creatives with the highest levels of the international fashion ecosystem," said Constanza Cavalli Etro, Co-Founder of Latin American Fashion Awards.
Through this recognition, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid and Latin American Fashion Awards reaffirm a shared commitment to fostering a more diverse, connected, and truly global fashion industry—while strengthening Madrid’s role as the capital of Ibero-American fashion and a key platform for emerging and international talent.
Founded with the ambition of democratizing access, amplifying visibility, and accelerating the development of Latin America’s most promising creatives, Latin American Fashion Awards has quickly become one of the most influential platforms championing the region’s talent on the global stage. Open and free to participants from more than 27 countries, the initiative has generated over 4.8 billion media impressions worldwide, cementing its status as a driving force for Latin American fashion internationally.
Its mission is supported by a jury featuring some of fashion’s most influential figures, including Donatella Versace and Haider Ackermann, who have served as jury presidents in recent editions, alongside industry leaders such as Nina García, Carmen Busquets, and Gabriela Hearst. Over the years, the platform has celebrated talents including Willy Chavarría, Raúl López (LUAR), Agua by Agua Bendita, Patricio Campillo, Paloma Elsesser, J Balvin, and Zaya Guarani, reflecting the diversity, reach, and cultural impact of Latin American creativity.
In line with its mission to amplify Latin American talent globally, Latin American Fashion Awards will present Colombian label Agua by Agua Bendita within the official schedule of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid, further strengthening the creative dialogue between Latin America and Europe.
The collaboration reflects a shared vision between both organizations: to continue building meaningful bridges between Europe and Latin America through fashion, fostering a more diverse, interconnected, and representative global creative landscape.
"Receiving this recognition from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid and Madrid City Council reaffirms that the path we have built alongside our community is creating real impact. It inspires us to continue building opportunities and connections for future generations," added Silvia Argüello, Co-Founder of Latin American Fashion Awards.
With the Fashion Game Changers Recognition, Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid and Madrid City Council celebrate the vision, leadership, and transformative work of Constanza Cavalli Etro and Silvia Argüello, whose efforts continue to reshape the international creative landscape and secure a new place for Latin American fashion within the global conversation.
