Palomo Spain present Palo-MÓ

For the first time, Multiópticas and Alejandro Palomo, the creative director for PALOMO SPAIN, have come together to design an exclusive capsule collection made up of sunglasses and prescription glasses that will be available in September.

Alejandro Palomo has relied on Multiópticas, leader brand of the optical industry, to create his first eyewear capsule collection. “Multiópticas is a reference in the eyewear market. Everyone knows the quality and innovation that lies is behind the brand. Its expertise and heritage pushed me to step into the eyewear world to offer an affordable collection to everyone.

It is an accessory that I always have wanted to have at PALOMO SPAIN, but you really need to find the best partner to reach the perfect mix of quality and design. Multiópticas was able to understand and bring to life exactly what I had in mind. So, after months of hard work, our first capsule collection is now born and I hope there will be much more.”

The campaign is based on the concepts of happiness, romance, and love with no boundaries. It shows a group of three friends who, on their way back home after a night out, take a stop on top of a hill to see the sunrise and the city‘s awakening under their feet, while a romance bursts between the tree of them.

To create this capsule collection, Alejandro had to think about how the 2020’s sun and prescription glasses would be: they radiate a futuristic look, almost robotic, based on a century dominated by machines and technology. “I wanted to create a man-machine hybrid, something that has to do with the times that we are currently living. I also wanted to offer very lightweight designs, easy to wear and to combine. I think we have been able to design luxury prêt-à-porter items, which is exactly what I am trying to convey with all my collections.”

The campaign is inspired by free and uninhibited love, romance and happiness. It portrays a group of 3 friends who, on their way home from a night out, stop at the top of a hill. There, while they admire the sunrise and the awakening of the city at their feet, a romance breaks out between the three of them. 
To create this capsule collection, Alejandro has imagined what the glasses of 2020 would look like: they give off a futuristic, almost robotic air, based on an era invaded by technology and machines. "The inspiration has been this feeling of almost a hybrid between man and machine. I wanted to do something that was very much of the moment. I was also inspired by the kind of glasses that I like to wear, light and easy to wear.

The goggles project a protective and enveloping feel; the unconventional design has the classic colors that characterize the designer's work. "I think it is a luxury ready-to-wear, which is what we have been doing since the beginning".
