About Skinsfromtheinsideofmymouth
Hugo Lisandra is a fashion designer from Madrid focused on creating menswear that sits at the intersection of commercial appeal and avant-garde expression. Patchwork, upcycling, and textile manipulation are core elements that consistently surface throughout his work. His style is both timeless and disruptive, built from materials that tell their own story.
His inspirations range from the human relationship with technology to music, history, and nature. His portfolio brings the designer’s inner world to life, translating it into a rich, textile-based language. He gravitates toward natural fibers like denim, often paired with synthetic fur or leather. His aesthetic lives somewhere between the underground and the trend-conscious, always leaving a lasting impression.

Debut
Debut is the name of my graduate collection, and through it, I wanted to present a clear expression of my creative voice. The collection explores modern myths—mainly the relationship between humans and technology—a blend of the natural and the synthetic, plastic and leather.
Each piece aims to tell both a personal and collective story: that of the contemporary boy facing the world with contradiction, sensitivity, humor, and clarity. The collection embraces large-scale design, where volume and materiality take center stage through technical and industrial fabrics: reflective, waterproof, with pulls, elastics, pockets, and cords that sculpt and reshape the silhouette. These are garments with presence and edge, made to make sense in today’s world.
Construction is essential: patterns are carefully developed, technical challenges are welcomed, but always with efficiency in mind. The garments are conceived from the body outward, always imagined in motion, like a second skin that both transforms and communicates.
Aesthetically, the collection revolves around black-on-black, the use of transfers and images, denim washes and bleach treatments, among other finishes. I like garments that have texture, that tell a story, and that move on their own. The light and shadow of the designer’s inner world pour into each piece, making for a culturally rich and compelling proposal.
Debut is a bold and thoughtful collection—full of energy, and absolutely wearable.
