Mariam Gvasalia

The inspiration for my collection is related to events that occurred in my life over the last two years. Through my clothes I try to express my feelings and emotions and establish a connection between me and my work. Like this collection, I tried to bring out my view of the struggle and to transform it into something positive.

I chose medicine as the main theme of my collection. I used images from the microscope as prints to create fabrics, most of them blood cells, different colours, X-ray images. I have used curved, feminine silhouettes. And as in all my collections, I have emphasised shoes, creating them using details of stethoscopes.
