The Centro Superior de Diseño de Moda de Madrid (CSDMM) is a private university teaching center, attached to the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and dependent on the Fundación para la Promoción del Diseño en la Comunidad de Madrid (FUNDISMA) whose Board of Trustees is chaired by the Rector of the UPM. Since 1986 the CSDMM has been dedicated to teaching, research and training in the field of creation, management, production and promotion of fashion.

The Center has numerous generations of graduates, designers whose professional careers are successful in various aspects of fashion design such as:

  • Amaya Arzuaga, Premio Nacional de Moda del Ministerio de Cultura
  • Natalia Bengoechea, Fashion Director of S-Moda magazine of El País.
  • Maya Hansen, designer specializing in corsetry.
  • Clara Bilbao, three-time winner of the Goya Award for best costume design

The CSDMM - UPM has been Premio Nacional de la Moda 2016, from the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda.

The CSDMM - UPM training has been rated as the Best 2020 Degree in Fashion Design in Spain, according to U Ranking of BBVA.

The designers of the Centro Superior de Diseño de Moda de Madrid de la Universidad Politécnica de Madrid show their Collection under the direction of Ana Locking, with a fashion film directed by Alfonso Ohnur. With the title 'Opening Night', the fashion show is organized at the Escuela de Arquitectura de la Politécnica which highlights the University's connection with the latest trends and creativity. It is a University open to talent. They are the young promises of Spanish design.
