93 Sierra Crosses at MBFWMadrid
About 93 Sierra Crosses
The designer Oliver Iglesias was born in Langreo (Asturias) in 1993. He showed a vivid interest towards fashion since a really young age, which led him to work part-time in a local streetwear shop while finishing his art studies in high school. When he finished them, he decided to undertake photography studies, which he ended up not finishing due to the launch of his first fashion project called “Jon Kemuri” in 2016 while also working as a freelance fashion and graphic designer. Four years later in 2020, he decided to create 93 SIERRA/CROSSES; a new project where the designer manifests a more personal vision of his “elevated streetwear” concept, taking inspiration from trade union and labor movements from his hometown Asturias, as well as references to local punk and hardcore bands.
Collection lines
FW 23-24 is 93 SIERRA/CROSSES’ latest collection, which carries on the pursuit of emblematic pieces under the “Elevated Streetwear” concept where tailored and high-quality garments are the main lead.
The designer continues to develop his own vision of Asturias where he portrays his experiences and perceptions onto the clothes, bringing back recurring topics like the influence of the working class and his hometown’s natural landscapes.
In this new collection another idea is incorporated into the mix, taking direct inspiration from the impact of punk and hardcore aesthetics during the late 80’s and early 90’s in both Asturias and Spain.
