GENERA and MATELEC Open the Call for Entries for the Innovation Gallery at the International Electrification and Decarbonisation Week
Projects and equipment may be submitted until 16 October through the website of each trade fair. The International Electrification and Decarbonisation Week will take place from 24 to 26 November at IFEMA MADRID
The International Electrification and Decarbonisation Week, the initiative that brings together the GENERA and MATELEC trade fairs organised by IFEMA MADRID, has opened the call for entries for the twelfth edition of the Innovation Gallery. This initiative aims to identify and showcase projects and equipment that are driving technological advancement in the energy and electrical sectors.
The Innovation Gallery has established itself as a leading platform for recognising talent and innovation. It features projects and equipment distinguished by their degree of novelty, technical feasibility, and contribution to energy efficiency, electrification, and the development of renewable energy sources.
The call is open to exhibiting companies, research centres, universities, and other public and private organisations developing projects or equipment with real market application potential. Applications must demonstrate significant advances in areas such as digitalisation, energy storage, consumption optimisation, or the integration of renewable solutions.
The Innovation Gallery will feature a selection of:
- Research projects with a strong technological innovation component, developed by exhibiting companies and public and private organisations.
- Innovative equipment from GENERA 2026 and MATELEC 2026 exhibitors that incorporates significant technological improvements.
With this call for entries, the International Electrification and Decarbonisation Week reinforces its role as a platform for accelerating innovation. This comes at a time when there is increasing urgency to advance toward more sustainable, digital and resilient energy models. The initiative is aimed at exhibiting companies, research centres, universities, and public and private organisations developing solutions with real-world application potential.
Candidate projects must demonstrate significant advances in areas such as energy consumption optimisation, renewable energy integration, infrastructure digitalisation, energy storage or the evolution of electrical installations. Particular consideration will also be given to the maturity level of the projects and their potential to reach the market.
The projects ultimately selected will be showcased in the Innovation Gallery during GENERA and MATELEC. They will benefit from a dedicated exhibition space and significant visibility among professionals, companies, and investors.
The launch of this call once again positions the International Electrification and Decarbonisation Week as a key meeting point for the energy and electrical industries. It promotes connections between innovation, business and knowledge. Within this environment, the Innovation Gallery serves as a barometer of the trends that will shape the future of the sector.
