FUELGAE, Sustainable On-site and Innovative Technologies for Advanced Transport BioFuels from MιcroalGae.

The aviation and maritime transport sectors are transitioning to non-fossil energy sources. In this context, the FuelGae project team, funded by the European Union, is using microalgae to produce advanced liquid fuels from CO2 emissions from biorefineries and energy-intensive industries. The aim is to improve the performance of microalgae by adapting them to the specific needs of each industrial case study. The production of advanced liquid fuels will involve the selective cultivation of microalgae to obtain polysaccharides or lipids, alternative treatments for biomass, catalytic enhancement systems and the use of an online sensor. The FuelGae team incorporates integrated modelling techniques to create a global digital twin. It will also use hydrothermal liquefaction and biogas processes to produce biochar, which will be tested in agriculture to assess its environmental impact and economic sustainability.

 AIR-BASED SOLAR THERMAL ELECTRICITY FOR 
EFFICIENT RENEWABLE ENERGY INTEGRATION & COMPRESSED AIR  ENERGY STORAGE

The ASTERIx-CAESar project is a research project with 17 partners and 
has received €5.3 million in funding from the European Union under the 
Horizon Europe programme.
The ASTERIx-CAESar concept is a very attractive solution for stabilising 
the electricity grid and facilitating greater penetration of non-manageable renewable energy 
. Energy storage and manageable, flexible production
are key to implementing a 100% renewable energy system in the future.
The recent blackout on the Iberian Peninsula demonstrated the
need for renewable power plants to stabilise the electricity grid.
The ASTERIx-CAESar project focuses on the development of a novel 
concept for a high-efficiency solar thermal plant with an integrated 
electricity storage solution. The project combines concentrated solar power (CSP) technology 
with a central receiver using air as a heat transfer fluid and 
compressed air energy storage (CAES) to maximise 
conversion efficiency and energy management of the electricity grid, enabling 
a new operating strategy and business model.
ASTERIx-CAESar represents the crucial ‘magic potion’ for implementing 
a future 100% renewable energy system.

Canopy for electric vehicle charging with photovoltaic integration

GENERGY POWER Direct 500XL

The DIRECT 500XL is a high-performance portable lighting tower designed to provide powerful and efficient lighting in industrial environments, construction sites, events or situations where intense light is required. It is configured with high-brightness LED modules and a telescopic mast that allows the light source to be raised to a great height, achieving wide area coverage. 
This model incorporates features that increase its versatility and ease of use, such as: 

• compact and foldable design for easy transport and storage, modular components (adjustable LED panels).
• power supply via rechargeable batteries or auxiliary electrical system, integrated controls for safe and efficient operation. 

In short, the DIRECT 500XL combines light output, height adjustability and a construction designed for demanding professional use, ideal for lighting large areas where there is no direct access to the mains electricity supply.  

It offers up to 66,000 lumens through four adjustable spotlights, with adjustable height between 1.3 m and 5.3 m. Its compact and lightweight design (≈53 kg without batteries) allows for quick transport and assembly, with the mast deploying in just 10 seconds. It operates with interchangeable rechargeable batteries, connection to the mains or generator, and includes a cable control to adjust the intensity and position of the spotlights. Its self-locking legs ensure stability on uneven ground, it has USB outputs, IP65 protection against dust and water, wind resistance, and offers different lighting modes with autonomies of up to 110 hours in Eco mode.  

G&S Diesel – Combustion catalyst additive

G&S Diesel is a new-generation combustion catalyst additive, free from petroleum derivatives and easily biodegradable, designed to improve energy efficiency and reduce the environmental impact of any diesel engine.

Thanks to its advanced formula, it acts directly in the combustion chamber to optimise fuel performance, resulting in:

• A reduction in diesel consumption of up to 5%, validated by official UTAC tests (technical data sheet TRA-EQ119)
• A reduction of up to 37% in pollutant emissions, especially unburned hydrocarbons (HC), particulates and CO.
• Comprehensive action that cleans, lubricates and protects the injection system, improving engine longevity and reducing maintenance costs.

G&S Diesel is compatible with Diesel A/B/C, biodiesel, HVO and heavy fuel oil, and is available in various formats: from individual additives to 200-litre drums and 1,000-litre IBCs.

EnerPilot: intelligent electrical optimisation system

CAE Claro 

With more than eight years of experience in the energy saving sector, LSF Energía has positioned itself as a leading intermediary between installers, delegates and obligated parties, offering a unique tool on the market that simplifies and streamlines administrative processes at every stage of the CAE chain. 

To achieve this, LSF Energía Iberia created CAE Claro, a collaborative digital platform designed to industrialise and simplify CAE management. This transforms the system into a digital, collaborative and automated process that reduces costs, optimises resources and improves the quality of files.

It is an intelligent control and management system for the use of common facilities, designed to optimise access, energy consumption and the administration of shared areas. Once installed, with the push of a button, operators can verify the absence of voltage and see an active indication when the absence of voltage is confirmed. PV4PLANTS: TECHNOLOGY AGRIVOLTAICA

PV4Plants is an EU-funded project that promotes synergy between agriculture and the energy sector through innovative agrivoltaic technology, also known as agri-PV, which allows the integration of photovoltaic solar modules into agricultural activities. 
The main purpose of the project is to improve crop growth conditions and land use efficiency, while generating renewable energy through innovative photovoltaic panels. These panels optimise sunlight capture, creating an improved microclimate beneath them, which benefits
crop growth conditions. The project will optimise light transmission from solar panels through innovative nanoparticles applied to the surface of the photovoltaic glass. In addition, PV4Plants will implement a real-time monitoring system to keep key indicators up to date, thereby improving the efficiency of the system. The PV4plants agri-PV system will be demonstrated at three highly replicable pilot sites located in Turkey, Spain and Denmark. Finally, the PV4Plants project will give special consideration to the recyclability of the components and materials used.

Research into a new agrovoltaic model based on the saturation curve in strategic crops.

The growth of renewable energies seeks to replace fossil fuels in order to meet the decarbonisation targets set by the Integrated National Energy and Climate Plan. However, this progress competes with food security for land and water use, in a context of climate change and population growth. In response to this situation, the agrovoltaic system has emerged, combining photovoltaic generation with agricultural production. Although there are pilot projects, its viability in crops has yet to be studied in depth. Metal Frame Renovables proposes to develop a sustainable agrovoltaic model based on knowledge of light saturation and optimal photosynthesis of strategic crops, seeking an efficient balance between food and energy production, thus promoting economic, social and environmental sustainability.
