The competition, organised by CEEAP, is open to students from pastry schools under the age of 24.

One of the competitions that can be experienced live at the next edition of InterSICOP, the International Bakery, Confectionery, Ice Cream, Coffee and Equipment Show organised by IFEMA at Feria Madrid, is the National Confectionery Students' Championship. A competition organised by the Spanish Confederation of Artisan Confectionery Entrepreneurs (CEEAP) with the aim of promoting quality training as a great commitment to the future of the sector.

During the competition, which will take place on 19 and 20 February 2024, the participants will have a total of 8 hours to make and present two identical cakes with or without filling, nine mille-feuilles with a puff pastry base and two fillings of their choice, and two identical chocolate cakes with a minimum of three different components. Participants must complete all the tests in situ and in their entirety and may not use or present anything previously prepared.

Aimed at under 24s

As the rules state, it is open to students under 24 years of age from Spanish schools where pastry training is offered. Each school has the possibility of registering only one student until 30 November. The same student may not enter the competition more than twice, and if they have won in previous editions, they will be excluded. They must also be enrolled in the school they represent or have been enrolled during the 2022/2023 and 2023/2024 academic years.

The jury and the commissioners will evaluate four fundamental aspects: taste, texture, appearance and cleanliness of the work. The first three winners will receive gold, silver and bronze medals.
