Cerno, the walnut producers' cooperative, a specialist in shelled walnuts for over 40 years, will present all its product categories at the show.

This cooperative of 450 walnut producers is located in southwest France, producing walnuts with the PDO Périgord walnut. It is in an area with idyllic landscapes that an exceptional walnut is produced. An exception due to the fact that the main variety planted, called FRANQUETTE, is only produced in France due to its location at the 45th parallel, its chilling hours, its overall climate, and because it is a native walnut with a flavor that no other walnut in the world has ever achieved. European wholesalers and fruit sellers value its exceptional fruity flavor and know where the walnut is prepared like no other: at CERNO. With 3,500 hectares of walnut trees, the Cooperative produces between 4 and 5,000 tons of walnuts in shell annually, of which 2,500 tons are sold in shell and the remainder is processed into shelled walnuts to supply the European agri-food industry. Each year, CERNO processes approximately 12,000 tons of walnuts, both conventionally and organically, positioning the company as one of Europe's leading and renowned suppliers of quality, food-safe walnut kernels.

Today, a walnut is not just a walnut!

Fruit sellers have become more professional with this nut and know how to differentiate and value walnuts based on their origin, production area, variety, size, and the quality of their product selection.

The tradition and know-how of walnut production in Périgord are the hallmarks that make CERNO the leading cooperative for French walnuts, both in shell and in kernels.

Périgord walnut kernels enjoy a Designation of Origin and are available in several product categories, each for very different culinary applications: Snacks – Salads – Pastries – Bakery, etc.
