The upcoming edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid will welcome its international guest designer to the runway on September 17. The activity is bolstering the organization’s commitment to a global perspective—one of the four key pillars of its refreshed vision, alongside nurturing new talent, supporting the industry, and celebrating craftsmanship and sustainability.

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid celebrates its 40th anniversary with a renewed format that will include, for the first time, the figure of a special guest designer to start the day of OFF fashion shows in a unique and emblematic space in Madrid as the start of MBFWMadrid. In this significant edition, Silvia Tcherassi will be the designer in charge of inaugurating this new stage.

With a career spanning over three decades and a signature style defined by effortless elegance, Silvia Tcherassi arrives to the Madrid runway at a meaningful moment: ten years after opening her first boutique in the Spanish capital. Her presence not only celebrates her enduring ties to Spanish fashion but also honors her global influence and lasting impact on the industry.

Silvia Tcherassi’s show will officially open the calendar—a milestone in this new format designed to position Madrid as an international fashion hub and to foster a deeper connection between the event and the city itself.

“It’s an honor to be part of this milestone edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid. Madrid has always held a special place in my heart, and to be included in this new chapter of the event is a true privilege,” said Silvia Tcherassi.

The next edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid will take place from September 17 to 21, unveiling a refreshed lineup of shows featuring innovative formats, open-to-the-public activations, and exclusive experiences. This new approach is designed to spotlight Spanish design through a lens of international ambition and creative experimentation.
