MBFWMadrid, the premier platform for showcasing Spanish fashion, has just announced the dates for its 79th edition. The event will run from 15 to 19 February, under the organization of IFEMA MADRID, and is where all of the country’s design talent will be concentrated. Ana Rodriguez, the director of MBFWMadrid, highlights what to expect at this edition “that is celebrated at a time where the key objective is to attract great designers who will drive the event to reach all audiences, without ceasing in its task of generating inspiration, desire and, of course, continuing to be the main tool for promoting and supporting fashion in Spain.”

The new event will take place from 15 to 18 February in Hall 14.1 of the IFEMA MADRID Recinto Ferial, with Catwalks Shows taking place in the City on 19 February. First, ‘we have new names whose participation will give us something to talk about, such as Acromatyx -a handmade tailoring firm with a very groundbreaking and avant-garde vision of fashion-, local designers that are already well-known, such as Inuñez, or familiar names, such as Elio Berhanyer, whose first collection since relaunch will be on show at the MBFWMadrid catwalk’, Rodriguez points out.

In addition, important national designers will return, such as Marcos Luengo, Duyos, Pablo Erroz (who presents a single collection each year) or Encinar, who have once again chosen MBFWMadrid to present their new collections.

Other great names who remain faithful to the event are Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Claro Couture, Custo Barcelona, Fely Campo, Hannibal Laguna, Isabel Sanchís, Lola Casademunt by Maite, Malne, Mans (winner of the L’Oréal Paris Award for Best Collection September 2023), Odette Alvarez, Paloma Suarez, Pedro del Hierro, Roberto Torretta or Simorra (which debuted on the catwalk of the Mercedes-Benz room at IFEMA MADRID in September 2023).

‘A consolidated calendar – in the words of the director of MBFWMadrid – that has received numerous requests, many from the greatest names in fashion of our country, which is a real honour.’

Ana Rodriguez, (Madrid, 1970), is director of fashion and culture events at IFEMA MADRID since 2019. After more than 28 years as commercial director for various sectoral events at IFEMA, including MOMAD - the largest trade show of the fashion industry in southern Europe, which makes her a great connoisseur of the sector -, Ana managed MBFWMadrid for the first time in February 2023, this next edition being her third in charge of the project.

MBFWMadrid announces its upcoming event with the support of its official sponsors. Mercedes-Benz, L’Oréal Paris and Inditex are the main sponsors. Allianz, Iberia and Multiópticas will also participate as sponsors; and collaborators will include Dorsia Clinics, AEG, GHD, UDIT (University of Design and Technology), and Málaga de Moda, together with the corporate identity of the Diputación (Provincial Council) de Málaga, Mar de Frades, Martin Miller’s Gin and Schweppes Selection. ¡HOLA! TV will participate again as the international television channel of MBFWMadrid.
