About Biyeyemete

Behind BIYEYEMETE is Brandon Abeso, a Spanish designer of Equatorial Guinean origin whose creative identity is built on the dialogue between African cultural heritage and contemporary design. Having completed four years of studies in Fashion Design, he has developed a solid specialization in both manual and digital pattern making, bespoke garment construction, technical material analysis, and the operation of industrial textile machinery. His work combines technical precision with continuous self-directed research, exploring new techniques and creative processes to develop a distinctive language that merges the precision of tailoring with avant-garde design, establishing an innovative proposal with international projection.

Collection lines

“EDJINGETE”, Love as a Transformative Force

“EDJINGETE”, a Fang word from Equatorial Guinea, means “within love.” It gives its name to a collection born from a reflection on childhood, memory, and identity. Drawing from the designer’s personal story, it explores how love, education, and cultural heritage transform the way we understand the world and rebuild ourselves.

The collection merges ancestral Fang and Bantu references with contemporary design codes, creating a narrative in which texture, volume, and innovation connect heritage, emotion, and contemporaneity.

The runway presentation unfolds in three chapters: ORIGIN, featuring protective silhouettes and African textiles; RUPTURE, marked by contrasts, asymmetry, and deconstruction; and REBIRTH, where the garments become lighter and more fluid, symbolizing acceptance and self-affirmation.
