About Antonio Acuario
Antonio Contreras was a pioneer in the Chilean independent fashion scene, bursting onto the scene with unexpected proposals. After an eight-year hiatus, he returned in March 2025 with Antonio Acuario, a new chapter in his career: a clothing project governed by chance and intuition, rejecting the expectations and timelines of the traditional industry.
His artisanal and sustainable approach brings new life to pre-existing garments, creating a continuously expanding “universe” where each drop is in dialogue with the last. With a conscious, seasonless perspective, he embraces an emotional, enduring, and ever-evolving vision of fashion.

“Moment III”, in this new chapter I explore new forms, this time more visceral, emerging from an interior that overflows, like a wound releasing my entire way of thinking and inhabiting personal memories. I continue working with textures, silhouettes, and gestures that, as a child, I admired and felt could never belong to my world. This moment is, in many ways, a celebration of everything I hid, pretended not to like, and was unable to make my own.
Moment III moves through complex pieces, with layers and details waiting to be discovered, silhouettes that allow their interior to surface. Linings and seams, meant to remain hidden, are exposed, often decontextualized through unexpected textures or materials distinct from the garment itself, sometimes shining even more than the outer fabric, like a personal, intimate world longing to reveal itself and vibrate within other realities.
The materials used include Super 100s to 140s wools, silks, cottons, viscose (rayon, acetate, Tencel), polyester, lurex, and leather.
