The Washington Apple Commission (WAC) is an industry-funded agency of the Washington State Department of Agriculture and Washington Apple Commission (WAC), USA, and represents the 1,260 apple growers in Washington State (USA). The WAC promotes in more than 25 world markets to drive consumer demand for high quality Washington apples.
Washington produces over 95% of U.S. apple exports, and employs thirteen representative offices in various markets that work directly with importers and retailers.
The Washington Apple Commission provides promotional support to these international retailers, wholesalers and importers with innovative marketing programmes and activities to increase consumer awareness and brand loyalty by communicating the Washington difference to consumers around the world.
Activities include the creation and implementation of retail promotions, point-of-sale communications, consumer and trade advertising, social media outreach and more.
