FEDERACIÓN EMPRESARIAL SEGOVIANA attends Fruit Attraction
The Segovian Business Federation was founded in 1977 with the clear objective of bringing together the sectoral groups that make up the economic map of the province. Agriculture, livestock and agri-food processing play a fundamental role in the business development of Segovia. Proof of this is that many of our companies are national and international benchmarks.
This is the first time that the Segovian Business Federation has attended Fruit Attraction with its own stand - 5H08 - and it wants to do so hand in hand with its business associates in order to showcase the great capacity of our primary sector and, specifically, of fruit and vegetable growing, which has a very important weight in the province. The alternating temperatures between day and night mean that the vegetables grown here have an intense and characteristic flavour.
Hortalizas Cándido Muñoz is one of our horticultural companies that will be present at IFEMA, together with the Segovian Business Federation. Born in Carbonero el Mayor, they are experts in the cultivation and marketing of vegetables, mainly carrots and leeks. With more than half a century of history, Hortalizas Cándido's carrots reach the whole of the central and northern half of the Iberian Peninsula as well as exporting around 10% of their total production.
The key to their success is the freshness of their produce, which reaches supermarket shelves in less than 24 hours and the constant innovation in their processes. They seek technological and competitive efficiency through modernisation. Proof of this is that three years ago they incorporated optical machines to carry out the selection and calibration of carrots and also the automation of the industry, which allows them to manage the whole company from a mobile device.
