The Spanish group based in Velez-Malaga, in the Andalusia region of southern Spain, is active in the production and marketing of organic tropical fruits and citrus.

In recent years, Alcoaxarquía has undergone a process of international expansion, with new production areas in America, Africa and Spain. Thanks to its subsidiary Alcoaxarquía Perú, the group is the main importer of avocado from the Andean country. This product, the avocado, is the focus of the company's greatest efforts, responding to the growing demand on a global level, with the capacity to supply the markets 12 months of the year and with a product with similar organoleptic characteristics regardless of its origin.

But how is this possible? The answer is simple: an agronomic team passionate about their work, who plan and care for the crops one by one, with a proprietary method called AlcoNature, which is a digital ecosystem of integrated and intelligent crop management. A unique platform designed for all the parties involved in the value chain, such as farmer partners, field technicians and processing plant managers. Through its R&D&I department, Alcoaxarquía develops research projects together with the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).

In 2023, the Alcoaxarquía group has created two subsidiaries. The first is Alcoaxarquía Levante, in Valencia. According to José Antonio Alconchel, the group's Executive President, "having the capacity to receive, ripen and pack avocados in Valencia allows us to improve the final service to our clients, given the concentration of the different sales offices of large chains". Nonetheless, the group also emphasises its firm objective of contributing its know-how to the sector in favour of a structured and coordinated future for avocado production and trade. The second subsidiary, also recently created, is Alcoaxarquía Maroc, another of the group's firm commitments aimed at the aforementioned diversification of production areas, which also include Mexico and Senegal, among other territories.

The Alcoaxarquia Group currently has 1,800 hectares of tropical crops and 7 processing plants on three different continents, with a total surface area of 18,500 m2 equipped with the most modern technology for storage, ripening and packaging of citrus and, in particular, organic fruit: avocado and mango.
