ValGenetics relies on an infrastructure of specialized laboratories, greenhouses with biosecurity conditions, a germplasm bank, a quarantine station, and advanced machinery for conducting trials, analyses, and scientific projects.
Among the services, research and assays that ValGenetics offers in the plant health area are (1) Phytopathological studies in cases of new or complex plant diseases (2) Genetic analysis for the detection of all kind of phytopathogen organism on different plant species and in plant, water and soil; (3) Identification of plant-beneficial microorganisms in soil, and efficacy studies on biostimulants and plant biocontrol; (4) Detection of plant pathogens for the issuance of plant health passports, necessary in case of import or exports of plant material; (5) Molecular, microbiological and biological analysis for phytopathological diagnostic in the registration of new varieties; and (6) Production of pathogen-free mother plants through plant sanitation processes.
