TropicSur adds value to the agri

TropicSur, a leading company in the production, marketing and ripening of avocados and mangoes, has its headquarters in Alhaurín el Grande (Málaga) and a second plant in Pedreguer (Alicante)
TropicSur's second plant has a capacity of 2,600 m2 and was launched last year to coincide with the start of the Spanish avocado season.
With this recent expansion, the Malaga-based company is now closer to both producers in the Levante region and the main purchasing centres of large retailers, as well as reducing its carbon footprint. The company has been marketing avocados from the Valencian Community for eight years, with a significant market share that is increasing every year. It has more than 132 hectares of its own production in different areas of the provinces of Valencia and Alicante.
This year, as a new development, they are adding mangoes to their portfolio of Valencian crops.
Its main markets include Spain, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany and Eastern Europe, with a wide range of formats and ripeness options. The Andalusian company markets its fruit through wholesalers and large distributors with two premium own brands, BONITO and SOLERA GOLD. The latter is a recent creation and will be presented at the next edition of Fruit Attraction. (Hall 10, stand 10F13)
TropicSur, with more than 35 years of experience in the subtropical fruit sector, produced 5,000 tonnes and had a turnover of around €11.5 million in 2024. ‘The market is competitive and demands agile solutions. Our focus is on adding value to the agri-food chain,’ say the González brothers.
