PTP GROUP | Cádiz Cold Storage Terminal
PTP GROUP will soon commence operations at its Specialized Cold Storage Terminal in Cádiz, located in La Cabezuela-Puerto Real
The facility will be dedicated to the storage and handling of refrigerated and frozen goods, including fruit, vegetables and other fresh produce. It will have a capacity of 20,000 pallet positions, 12 multi-temperature cold storage chambers and additional areas for non-conforming goods, allowing storage conditions to be adapted to the specific requirements of each product.
The terminal will integrate the various processes associated with the import and export of goods, including customs control, customs warehousing, goods in transit and border control. The facility also incorporates a Border Inspection Post for meat and plant products, facilitating the handling of goods from different markets. In addition, it will offer cross-docking operations and value-added services such as picking, order splitting and repalletizing, labelling and repackaging.
Designed to handle different maritime traffic flows
Thanks to its strategic location next to the Port of the Bay of Cádiz, the facility will be equipped to handle different types of maritime traffic, including conventional reefer vessels, Ro-Ro vessels and containers, as well as inland transport by truck.
Among the planned traffic flows are groupage shipments from North Africa, strengthening Cádiz’s connections with North African markets and routes to Europe, Africa and the Americas.
In this way, the terminal aims to provide an integrated logistics solution for the transport, storage and distribution of products, taking advantage of its strategic location to attract new refrigerated cargo flows.
