NaturKhem presents its LUMEN and CHROMA FRUIT solutions
NaturKhem presents its LUMEN and CHROMA FRUIT solutions, products that prevent summer damage and improve harvest quality.
Current climatic conditions, with increasingly long summers, low rainfall and tropical nights, are leading to a decline in the marketable quality of a large number of crops in the Mediterranean region and South America.
To put this into context, rising temperatures and excessive solar radiation are altering the physiology of leaves and fruit, causing sunscald, spots and photo-oxidative damage to the skin of a wide range of crops (avocado, citrus, pomegranate, apple, pear). These conditions result in a loss of commercial quality, which means a lower market value for producers.
Furthermore, summer temperatures are persisting for longer periods, extending into the autumn months and thus directly affecting fruit ripening, causing premature ageing, dehydration and, in many cases, sub-optimal colouration.
At [naturKhem], we have developed two biostimulant solutions specifically formulated to combat the stress caused by summer on crops.
LUMEN
The first of these is LUMEN, a metabolic bioactivator formulated to help plants cope with heat stress and extreme radiation. It helps protect the skin of the fruit during critical stages of development, helping to maintain the final quality without staining the fruit or leaving any residue. When applied preventatively, it significantly reduces photo-oxidative damage to leaves and fruit, ensuring the fruit’s commercial value.
CHROMA FRUIT
The second is CHROMA FRUIT, a biostimulant designed to improve fruit pigmentation and enhance ripening, without affecting its post-harvest life. CHROMA FRUIT stimulates pigment synthesis in the fruit skin despite unfavourable weather conditions, improving the fruit’s antioxidant content and palatability, allowing it to be harvested at its optimum moment.
