At Meristec, we don’t just sell plants. We lay the foundations for the plants of tomorrow. We are a company specializing in plant biotechnology and the in vitro propagation of high-value woody species.
We produce rootstocks from selected mother plants, guaranteeing two characteristics that are becoming increasingly essential in today’s agricultural landscape: true uniformity and homogeneity in every plant that leaves our laboratory.
We work with the crops that are reshaping the agricultural map: avocado, pistachio, berries, walnut, holm oak and cork oak. Each rootstock inherits the characteristics of its mother plant, without the genetic lottery of seed propagation. This means more predictable, more scalable crops that are better prepared for what lies ahead.
Because that is what Meristec is all about: what comes next.

Our in vitro propagation technology allows us to multiply elite plant material on a scale that is impossible to achieve through traditional methods, while making more efficient use of resources and providing full traceability. Innovation, sustainability and a forward-looking vision are the driving forces behind our process.
And this is where we need to keep a little quiet.
We are fine-tuning developments that are set to mark a before and after in the sector. One of them is the in vitro propagation of Duke 7, one of the world’s most recognized avocado rootstocks, taking it to a level of availability and homogeneity that has never existed before.
And that is not all. We are also working on new UCB-1 clones, derived from mother plants that have been under study for more than two decades, which are set to revolutionize the Spanish pistachio landscape.
We are not going to reveal everything here. Not yet. What we can say is this:
