Limonar de Santomera, they work all the process

As our name suggests, we are a lemon grove in Santomera, Murcia. Since 1982, we have been passionately dedicated to what we do best: growing citrus fruits.
As an agricultural cooperative, we work on the whole process, from production to distribution and marketing of the product, taking care of every detail. Agriculture is our way of life and we protect it by supporting farmers, respecting the environment and caring for the product. It is our way of investing in a sustainable future.
That is why this year we have focused our campaign on a problem that directly affects both farmers and the environment: food waste. In our sector in particular, thousands of kilos of lemons are thrown away because they do not meet aesthetic criteria or because of surplus. As lemons lovers, we could not stand idly by and do nothing. So we made a beer with all these lemons that go to waste.
The Clarica
A beer that comes to make things clearer than ever and to put on the table a problem that affects us all. Under this premise and in collaboration with the Murcian beer brand Yakka, La Clarica is born. A blonde beer, clear and brewed with the ‘ugly’ lemons that nobody wants from Santomera. Although for us, they are all pretty. Because you know what they say: if life gives you 5,000 hectares of lemons of which more than 2,000 are going to be thrown away, make beer.
And to communicate it in the purest Limonar de Santomera style, we have created five very cool audiovisual pills to accompany the launch and make the benefits of La Clarica very clear. A campaign that tells us about the countryside, our environment and how a town that lives off lemons has decided not to throw any more away. Hall 7 Stand 7B06
