Sealing lines
The solution combines MARCO’s new “Auto-Top-Up-Line” with G.Mondini’s CIGNO heat-sealing machine and NEURAL artificial vision system. The goal is clear: to automate the process, reduce costs associated with manual tasks, and gain greater control over the product before it reaches the end customer.
MARCO’s “Auto-Top-Up-Line” automates the final weight adjustment of trays, helping to maintain more stable production and reducing the need for manual intervention. It also incorporates real-time monitoring and diagnostics, enabling much more efficient production tracking.
The line is completed by CIGNO, G.Mondini’s new compact heat-sealer; it is ready for MAP (Modified Atmosphere Packaging) operations and designed to maximize ease of daily use, featuring quick format changes, simple cleaning, and highly intuitive operator controls.
Finally, the NEURAL system handles visual product inspection prior to sealing. It inspects fruit and vegetables in real time, detecting foreign objects, defects, damage, mold, or visual anomalies before the tray leaves the line. This solution is particularly valuable for delicate products such as berries or table grapes.
With this line, Grupalia 4.0 and its partners will showcase a practical solution at Fruit Attraction aimed at improving production efficiency, reducing waste, and maintaining consistent quality in fresh produce packaging.
