GreenKeeper Iberia: Controlling ethylene and other gases
GreenKeeper Iberia is a Spanish company specializing in the design, manufacture, and marketing of solutions for controlling ethylene and other gases during the storage and transport of fresh fruit and vegetables.
From our production plant in Toledo, we develop and manufacture our products entirely using European and locally sourced raw materials, ensuring a stable supply chain and consistent quality.
Our technology is based on a highly porous, natural mineral substrate combined with potassium permanganate, enabling ethylene removal through a dual mechanism of physical and chemical absorption. The result is effective ripening control, extended shelf life, and better preservation of product quality from origin to destination.
At GreenKeeper, we don't just delay ripening; we control it. Our solutions ensure that fruit and vegetables reach their destination with more uniform quality, reducing losses, claims, and food waste throughout the supply chain.
With a commercial presence in over 50 countries.
With a commercial presence in over 50 countries and distribution across five continents, we offer a wide range of solutions tailored to the diverse needs of the fruit and vegetable industry:
- Patented ethylene-absorbing sachets for effective ethylene control during transport and storage.
- CO₂ absorbers designed to prevent carbon dioxide buildup in packaged foods, avoiding packaging defects and other issues.
- Combined ethylene and CO₂ absorbers that act simultaneously on both gases in bagged fresh produce.
- Patented ethylene-absorbing filters designed to optimize airflow and maximize gas removal during long-distance transport.
- Atmosphere control systems—high-performance solutions for cold storage and preservation chambers that remove ethylene and other harmful compounds, even in high-humidity conditions. Innovation, European manufacturing, and a commitment to sustainability are the pillars of GreenKeeper Iberia. We work every day to provide reliable solutions that help the fruit and vegetable sector better preserve its products, reduce food waste, and confidently meet the challenges of an increasingly demanding supply chain.
