The company will be showing Exirel® at the show: a revolutionary molecule for pest control in citrus

Recently registered for use in Spain, this insecticide, based on Cyazypyr®, is a latest generation active material, a ‘revolutionary molecule, which is going to become a key solution in the fight against various pests’. This is what José Antonio Rodríguez, FMC's Marketing Director, points out: "Exirel® offers a very broad spectrum of action and is authorised in citrus (control of thrips, whitefly, citrus moth Prays citri), citrus leafminer (Phyllocnistis citrella) and aphids (Aphis spiraecola and Aphis gossypii), wine grapevine (control of the grapevine moth Lobesia botrana and olive tree (control of the olive moth Prays oleae). Rodriguez stresses that "it is effective on the different stages of the pests, showing ovicidal, ovi-larvicidal, larvicidal and adulticidal activity, depending on the target pest.

It has an excellent compatibility profile, while respecting the auxiliary fauna. Its formulation in suspoemulsion (SE) with 100 g/L of Cyazypyr® allows it to act both by ingestion and by contact.

In summary, Exirel® represents a significant improvement in the fight against pests that affect crop productivity.

Its benefits include:

- Broad spectrum of action, reducing dependence on multiple phytosanitary products.

- Greater efficacy at different stages of pest development.

- Safety for auxiliary fauna, which favours agricultural sustainability.

- Rapid effect, with cessation of pest feeding in a few hours.

- Compatibility with integrated pest management (IPM) programmes.

With Exirel®, FMC expands its range of innovative insecticides based on Cyazypyr®, joining other already established solutions such as:

- Exirel® Bait: specialised in pest control in olive and fruit trees.

- Verimark®: applied to horticultural crops.

- Benevia®: aimed at citrus and horticultural crops.

Hundreds of farmers have already experienced the effectiveness of these solutions, improving the health of their crops and optimising yields. FMC will be exhibiting at Fruit Attraction at stand 7D30.
