Agrupación de Viveristas de Agrios, S.A. was founded in 1976 to provide citrus planting stock of the highest quality and with the strongest guarantees, within the Spanish certification system. Since then, it has been producing different varieties and rootstocks, completely transforming the varietal and productive structure of our citrus industry. Currently, the varieties marketed by AVASA remain sales leaders.
Spain’s first citrus foundation nursery
We are Spain’s first citrus foundation nursery and the one with the widest range of varieties. We maintain, evaluate, propagate and market over 200 varieties, including the world’s most important ones, amongst which are more than 90 exclusive AVASA-PRI® varieties.
The breeding and development of new varieties is a key aspect of modern citrus cultivation to maintain high levels of productivity and fruit quality, as well as to tackle new pests and diseases. Aware of this, AVASA launched a programme to introduce new varieties into our citrus cultivation, with outstanding results. We will be participating in Fruit Attraction at stand 3B18.
