CITROSOL: Sustainable post-harvest technology
For over 50 years, the company has been preserving the freshness and extending the shelf life of fruit, ensuring it reaches the consumer with all its flavour and at the highest quality.
Since its foundation in 1964 in the La Safor region (Valencia, Spain), CITROSOL has established itself as an international leader in post-harvest solutions. With offices in Spain’s main production areas and a global presence in over 22 countries, including staff in South Africa, Egypt, Peru and Uruguay, the company is always close to its customers, offering specialised and local technical support.
Developing sustainable technologies and products
CITROSOL’s commitment is clear: to develop sustainable technologies and products that help reduce the fruit and vegetable industry’s carbon footprint. Over 10 years ago, the company pioneered the Citrosol Zero Discharge® System in drenchers and ‘online drenchers’, the first example of the CIRCULAR ECONOMY in post-harvest treatments, enabling its customers to optimise water and energy consumption and move towards more efficient and responsible processes.
At CITROSOL, we know that a product that performs excellently in the laboratory must deliver the same results under real-world conditions. That is why we develop more precise application systems that reduce variability in industrial processes and guarantee maximum efficacy and consistency in treatments at fruit and vegetable processing plants.
To fulfil our commitments, we are firmly committed to research, development and innovation in more sustainable solutions. All of this, combined with personalised and specialised technical advice, enables us to bridge the gap between the laboratory and industrial reality, ensuring consistent, effective results that meet the sector’s requirements. Citrosol will be at stand 3D26 at Fruit Attraction.
