ALIMER, food from the Mediterranean S.COOP.
Alimer is the largest first-degree cooperative in the Region of Murcia. Its members are farmers and stockbreeders, small and large producers who find in them the best ally to take their goods to the market throughout Europe.
Alimer was founded in the Guadalentín Valley and the Vega Alta del Segura, in the Region of Murcia, in 2006. The aim of the cooperative is to unite the efforts of those who put their work and dedication into the production of the most important goods in the food sector: raw materials. At Alimer we offer different sections with a lot of variety:
- We grow stone fruit, watermelon, broccoli, lettuce, artichokes and cabbages, among other products. We also have an important BIO production.
- We raise pigs and cattle. We produce feed for our animals and make dairy products from the milk of our goats.
- We also supply fuel to our logistics network and to the general public through our Service Stations. In addition, we have a supply section with our own fertilisers, phytosanitary products and plastics.
- We grow flowers and ornamental plants for gardening and decoration, such as paniculata, carnations and geraniums, among others. High quality fresh flowers and plants for our national and international customers.
At Fundación Alimer we work to improve life in our rural environment. We are a non-profit organisation linked to the Alimer cooperative. We are committed to social development, agricultural innovation and the promotion of cooperativism. We support projects that promote training, collaborate with social and health initiatives, sports sponsorship, among other initiatives and programmes.
