The CTCR Strengthens Its Sense of Social Commitment

The Footwear Technology Centre of La Rioja (CTCR) has taken part in various sponsorship and support measures for the Lar Santa Mónica Project, which is being implemented by the Augustine Order, Agustinos Recoletos de Fortaleza, in order to create a shelter and care centre for young and adolescent girls who are victims of sexual violence.

Under the heading of "Sexual Violence Is Everyone's Problem: Help Us to Fight It", Agustinos Recoletos seeks to introduce a series of psycho-social measures for hundreds of girls, offering them a dignified life and the opportunity to reintegrate within their family environment and society as whole. In this respect, the CTCR, and specifically its Corporate Social Responsibility Department, which pursues a carefully-studied social strategy, has decided to support this project.

The Santa Mónica Shelter Home, which is coordinated in Brazil by the Augustine monk, José Alberto Moreno, is just one of many social initiatives that enjoys the collaboration of the Technology Centre, offering a clear example of its desire to generate a sense of responsibility and value vis-à-vis society. CTCR's corporate social responsibility strategy is not only linked to its collaboration with bodies of this kind, but at the same time caters for the needs of its interest groups and society in general. CTCR also believes it is essential to act in accordance with its corporate values, namely those of leadership, trust and social commitment, rallying different parties in order to promote campaigns such as this, which seek to boost the life expectations of the most vulnerable members of society.
