The Pasarela de MOMAD (MOMAD Catwalk) will be a showcase for talent, trends, and the conversations transforming fashion
Collective shows, sustainability, artificial intelligence, retail, and brand strategy are among the activities on the agenda.
The upcoming edition of MOMAD, Feria Internacional de Moda, Calzado y Accesorios (International Fashion, Footwear and Accessories Trade Show) organised by IFEMA MADRID, will transform its catwalk into a major meeting point for buyers, brands, and professionals in the sector. From 23 to 25 July, this programme will combine collective fashion shows and trade meetings to exhibit new creative proposals and analyse some of the topics shaping the future of the fashion industry.
With a format designed to inspire, generate knowledge, and promote the exchange of experiences, the July edition of the Pasarela de MOMAD (MOMAD Catwalk) will be packed with initiatives linked to emerging talent, internationalisation, sustainability, artificial intelligence, and new business strategies.
Creativity flows on the catwalk
The fashion show schedule will enable professional visitors to discover the work of designers, collectives, and institutions that represent diverse perspectives on contemporary fashion.
Málaga de Moda is one of the collectives to be in attendance. It will present proposals by Ildhorit, Almanto, Shamat, and Carol Wings, as well as the fashion show led by Uniendo Moda Castilla y León, which will bring to the catwalk the designs of Raquel Grande, Erik Bruccia, Pablo Merino, Celeste Herrera, Iciar Martín, María Cristina Fernández, Miguel y Elena Iglesias, Begoña Gutiérrez, Esther Peláez, and Javier Picón.
The catwalk will also host projects from PROEXCA, the Romanian Designers collective, the ESSDM's International Flamenco Fashion Chair, the ADA association, and Fundisma, further supporting the presence of emerging talent, educational projects, and design promotion platforms.
MOMAD Talks: from artificial intelligence and sustainability to brand development
Alongside the shows, the catwalk is a space for reflection and analysis thanks to MOMAD Talks, a lineup of professional meetings for buyers, retailers, brands, and entrepreneurs. In this regard, the agenda will address questions and answers from the sector that explore topics such as artificial intelligence applied to communication and sales, brand building, new retail models, sustainability, circular economy, and regulatory changes affecting the sector's evolution from the perspective of professional organisations like MODAESPAÑA.
The participants include renowned figures like Andrés Pulgarin, CEO of LOVI.ai; Marcos Pizarro, director of the firm Venus; Cristina Saeta, expert in technology and digital transformation; Aránzazu Santos López, journalist and content creator; Ernesto Suárez-Machargo, specialist in brand building and development; Anitta Ruiz de Monasterio, journalist and image consultant; or Maripi Robles, founder of No Solo Una Idea and author of the book I Am a Designer, I Want to Sell.
Sustainability will also play a leading role with the participation of experts connected to entities and projects such as GERESCAL, Tintoremus, and Luxiders Magazine. Names like Francisco Rico, Pilar Prior Fernández, Belvis Soler, Pilar Vázquez, and Patricia Herrero will address issues such as the circular economy, new sector regulations, extended producer responsibility, and developments in consumer habits.
