Tomorrow marks the start of MATELEC which, along with Semana Internacional de la Construcción (International Construction Week), will bring together more than 1000 companies

This event, which will be held from 5 to 8 November, coincides with CONSTRUTEC, VETECO, SMART DOORS and PISCIMAD, as part of Semana Internacional de la Construcción.

MATELEC will be in halls 4, 6, and 8 of the Recinto Ferial of IFEMA MADRID

Madrid, 4 November 2023.- Tomorrow marks the start of a new edition of MATELEC, the International Trade Fair for the Electrical and Electronics Industry, which will be attended by more than 500 companies. To these, another 550 will be added from the coinciding CONSTRUTEC, VETECO, SMART DOORS and PISCIMAD trade fairs taking place at IFEMA MADRID, together forming Semana Internacional de la Construcción, and generating a business ecosystem with more than 1000 companies.

MATELEC will be at IFEMA MADRID until 8 November, bringing together a complete range of leading companies from sectors which are transforming construction and industrial environments such as automation, energy efficiency, connectivity and IoT, electrical solutions, and electronics. What's more, in this edition will focus on sustainability and technological innovation, generating a vision which will grant professionals in the sector the opportunity to learn about the latest trends in electrical installations, intelligent lighting systems, renewable energies and digital solutions for intelligent construction.

Internationalisation, key for MATELEC

Internationalisation will be one of the strong points of this fair which will have companies from 20 different countries in attendance. Of these, 230 Chinese companies will be present, as well as 40 Turkish companies, along with others from countries such as Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, South Korea, Spain, the United States, Finland, France, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic and Taiwan. These figures highlight the international character of this fair, which combines very well with the companies of the Spanish market and the opportunity to create synergies and business opportunities.

High Quality Activities Programme

The MATELEC Forum will also be held as part of the fair, with presentations on current issues such as certifications, photovoltaic installations, how to meet global decarbonisation targets, lighting and sustainability in the sector, among other topics. Within the programme there will also be the “Installer's World” space by FENIE, which will address a range of topics, including the evolution of smart homes, aerothermal energy, strategies for business growth, business opportunities with National Energy Efficiency Certificates (known in Spanish as "CAEs"), and tools that streamline the day-to-day operations of installation companies. There is also a Young Installers Competition. In addition to this is the KNK Forum by KNX Spain, in which key topics such as the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence applied to energy efficiency in buildings and new technological adaptations to automation standards will be discussed.

The highlight of the programme will be the 6th Innovation and Energy Efficiency Awards, which are organised in collaboration with AFME, the Association of Electrical Material Manufacturers, and aim to evaluate and distinguish products that stand out for their technological, design, functional or instrumental innovations.
