Global Mobility Call and FEMP work together to bring sustainable mobility solutions to municipalities and provinces
The second edition of the Global Mobility Call will be held from 12 to 14 September in IFEMA MADRID’s Recinto Ferial.
Local and provincial administrations will get to discover first-hand everything they need to know about introducing low-emission zones, electric charging points, infrastructure digitalisation and much more, at a time when they are making the biggest investments in mobility.
Local and provincial administrations play a key role in developing sustainable mobility. In this context, the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) and Global Mobility Call have bolstered their collaboration agreement for the second edition of this event, where local government will have the opportunity to discover mobility proposals and solutions using NextGenerationEU funds to drive investments and transformation.
In this second edition of Global Mobility Call, municipalities and provinces from all over the world will be able to get advice about new solutions and all the requirements and processes needed to roll out initiatives that promote sustainable mobility in their specific areas, along with large international companies and a wide range of startups. A perfect place where they can learn about how to introduce low emissions zones in their towns, install electric charging points, digitalise their mobility, urban agents, optimise their resources, etc.
It will provide a platform that addresses the links between sustainable mobility and local government, such as demographics, due to the high concentration of population in large cities and depopulation and ageing in rural areas; widespread use of new technologies in mobility; and environmental sensitivity.
The collaboration between the Global Mobility Call and FEMP will also offer the perspective of local authorities regarding plans for new regulations, technological innovation, developing new types of transport, planning, services and other initiatives.
