GENERA and MATELEC consolidate their leadership in the energy and electricity sector with over 800 companies confirmed

The International Week of Electrification and Decarbonisation will feature over 34.000m2 of exhibition space where visitors can discover the latest developments in renewable energies, electrification and technology solutions for the electricity industry.
The International Week of Electrification and Decarbonisation, which includes the GENERA and MATELEC trade fairs, will take place from 18 to 20 November at IFEMA MADRID.
The International Week of Electrification and Decarbonisation, encompassing the jointly hosted GENERA and MATELEC trade fairs, showcases the dynamism of two strategic sectors in the energy transition process. The two fairs have already confirmed the presence of more than 800 exhibitor companies from 26 different countries, and an exhibition space of 34.000 square metres. La merging of the two events makes this the biggest commercial and innovation platform in southern Europe for renewable energies, electrification and technological solutions for the electricity industry.
Between them, the fairs will bring together over 800 direct exhibitors, 61% of them Spanish and 39% are international visitors. That breakdown reflects the strength of the domestic business fabric and the growing interest of overseas markets in participating in this leading shop window for the energy and electricity industry.
A programme of activities at the service of the energy transition
The programme of activities cements the role of both fairs as spaces of professional networking and debate around decarbonisation, digitalisation and electrification. One of the highlights on the agenda, as part of the 1st Congress of the International Week of Electrification and Decarbonisation, is the participation of the Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE). The programme also includes the APPA Renewables Days on wind, photovoltaic, storage, renewable gases and electrification. Then there is a day dedicated to the electricity system, hosted under the slogan “What electricity system do we need? Reflections of stakeholders in the sector”, with the participation of the leading sectoral associations and institutions. There will also be an Electric Vehicle Day, promoted by AEDIVE, as well as a round-table discussion on residential electrical renovation, which will see the presentation of the OREVE 2025 Report, led by AFME and ADIME.
What's more, GENERA and MATELEC will also bring together a wide variety of industry forums and meetings, such as the UNEF Genera Solar Forum, FENÍE's The World of the Installer space, and the ESCs Forum, led by ANESE and A3E, which will be held in halls 3, 4, 6, 8, and 10, and the North Convention Center, where activities covering subjects like Cogeneration, Hydrogen, Wind Energy, Market Flexibility, etc. All these activities confirm the value of trade fairs as points of convergence for knowledge, innovation, and business collaboration.
