Alianza para la Innovación Urbana

The Alliance for Urban Innovation (AIU) is an initiative of the MADRID IFEMA Cities Forum and was created with the aim of generating permanent meeting spaces between different organisations and public administrations to advance the proactive debate on the construction of innovative cities focused on sustainable development.

It is an open, transversal and dynamic space that will help local entities, companies and professionals from different disciplines in the innovative transformation of territories.

Presentation of the Urban Innovation Alliance

On 18 June, the “Digitaliza Madrid” Centre of the Community of Madrid hosted the presentation of the ALLIANCE FOR URBAN INNOVATION, a new initiative of the CITIES FORUM OF MADRID, which aims to generate permanent meeting spaces between different organisations to advance the proactive debate on the construction of innovative and sustainable cities.

The alliance for urban innovation analyzed the efficient transformation of cities in Leganés

The Alliance for Urban Innovation of the IFEMA MADRID Cities Forum and the Federation of Municipalities of Madrid (FMM) held a dynamic session focused on practical issues for cities in the Madrid region and specialists in the field, addressing the improvement of efficiency in different urban services through technological innovation.

During the event, various experts and organizations linked to the IFEMA Madrid Cities Forum Alliance for Urban Innovation addressed relevant aspects of urban management and planning where technological innovation is having a significant impact, simplifying processes, increasing efficiency, and facilitating data management for decision-making, among other tools.

The conference covered innovative aspects of mobility, planning, the circular economy, urban regeneration, and digitization, with the participation of organizations such as the Spanish Network of Smart Cities (RECI), CREA Madrid Nuevo Norte, the European University, the Regional Ministry of Digitization of the Community of Madrid, the Official Association of Telecommunications Engineers (COIT), the Real Estate Future Institute, and Ecoembes, among others.
