In two weeks FiturNext 2022, sponsored by Mastercard, will kick off with a programme of activities that will highlight the importance of contributing through tourism to a fairer, more equitable and inclusive society. From 19 to 22 January, we will present the 2022 report, award the prizes to the winning initiatives of the Challenge and define, together with the attendees, the 2023 Challenge. Are you ready?

Winners and finalists: the protagonists of this year's event

The conference will begin with the inauguration of this year's edition on 19 January at 12:30h (CET) and with the presentation of the 2022 report by Francisco Rodríguez, expert consultant in tourism at Ideas for Change. After the two speeches, the climax of the event will come: the awards ceremony for the winning initiatives and the special mention to the finalists.

TUR4all, Albastar and COCEMFE will collect the awards and share their projects with a positive impact that are committed to making tourism accessible to everyone through accessible resources and services.

An inclusive agenda beyond tourism

In addition to all this, there is an extensive programme of dialogues, presentations and round tables with experts and professionals from the sector committed to accessibility. Among them, the dialogue between Marta Domènech, general director of Tourism of Catalonia, and Rosa Mª Ivars Llopis, deputy general director of Tourism of the Valencian Community, on how accessibility can become a synonym of quality of a tourist destination.

It is worth mentioning the two panel discussions on "Measuring sustainability in tourism. An opportunity to redesign the industry" and on "Health and Wellness Tourism: the new frontiers of tourism", in the framework of the Mastercard Space. Tania Iglesias, head of projects in the R+D+i area of SEGITTUR, will also take part in a debate to explore more inclusive and egalitarian public policies together with experts from two leading national destinations.

Finally, there will be an open dialogue with the audience to jointly define the 2023 Challenge and its positive impact on the tourism industry.
