The trade fair is working on both events to offer a sector meeting point that will boost the recovery and promotion of the Optics and Optometry sector

IFEMA and the Organising Committee of ExpoÓptica, backed by the General Council of the Professional Association of Opticians-Optometrists, have decided to postpone the in-person edition of the trade fair to March 2022, after assessing the current worldwide situation, its unpredictable evolution and the mobility difficulties that make it impossible to offer a suitable business environment to hold a large-scale physical event.

However, to provide continuity to the optics and audiology sector, and to favour business and knowledge exchanges, IFEMA is looking into holding a remote event in 2021, coinciding with the OPTOM’21 congress that will keep the sector activity alive, generate business and the exchange of interests and knowledge. This will be a transitional edition that will cover the sector interests, boosting its activity and contributing to its recovery, with content and tools that will generate value for the industry during the current situation.
