ExpoAudio 2026 will boost business in the audio and hearing health market by focusing on connectivity and the gaming sector
From 9 to 11 April, leading companies will present the latest in diagnosis, rehabilitation, prevention, and hearing aids.
Salón de la Óptica, la Optometría y la Audiología (International Optics and Optometry Exhibition) organised by IFEMA MADRID, will be back with an even wider range of solutions for the diagnosis, adaptation, rehabilitation and prevention of hearing disorders, along with solutions aimed at making audio businesses more profitable.
Held alongside Expoóptica from Thursday 9 to Saturday 11 April, ExpoAudio is a monographic space for the hearing industry and strengthens its commercial platform to boost business. Among the brands in the hearing sector that have confirmed so far are Acousticon, Beltone, Bernafon, Diatec, Inngeaudio, Interton, Glasklar, Medat, Natus Sensory, Oticon, Philips, Sonova Ibérica, Starkey Spain, Topcon and Waveson.
What’s more, ExpoAudio 2026 will be held during a boom in demand, with 432,868 hearing aid units distributed in Spain B2B in 2025, according to data from Asociación Nacional de Fabricantes e Importadores de Audífonos (National Association of Hearing Aid Manufacturers and Importers (ANFIA), surpassing the 2024 volume by 18% and the peak of 6.7% reached in 2023. Furthermore, given the information revealed in the latest EuroTrack study on Hearing Loss and Hearing Aid Usage, which shows that 60% of Spaniards with hearing problems do not use any type of aid to improve their hearing, these figures are expected to continue moving in the same direction.
But beyond business success, in 2026, audiology is now established as a high-performance industry, underpinned by sophisticated technology that makes hearing aids smart and connected, and by health devices, marking a step towards enhanced personalisation.
The convergence of audiology and gaming opens up a new field of growth
In the context of this deployment of state-of-the-art products, gaming has become established as a strategic area for the audiological sector following the 2025 presentation of the first global standard on safe listening for video games and eSports by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) that combines prevention, accessibility, and performance.
ExpoAudio 2026 will showcase new developments in immersive audio and directionality, advanced connectivity solutions, and accessibility that translate game sound into visual signals for people with hearing impairments, and for a professional audience.
Furthermore, the audiology sector exhibition will be enhanced by the Foro ExpoAudio, a space where leading brands will present the main innovations and address the challenges and opportunities of a growing sector.
One valuable initiative will be a presentation by Mope Consultoría y Formación on how to distinguish between types of hearing loss and how the impact on processing and discrimination is essential for setting adaptation expectations and selecting the best treatment. Natus Sensory will share information on the importance of personal adaptation, analysing how the use of real-ear measurements (REM) and 3D digital scanning transforms verification into a competitive advantage or how to achieve precise amplification goals through objective data to reduce re-adjustment visits and ensure that technological performance faithfully meets the patient's needs; or the presentation of the revolutionary glasses Nuance Audio, the new invisible auditory solution from EssilorLuxotica.
From Thursday 9 to Saturday 11 April, IFEMA MADRID will once again host professionals from optics, optometry, and audiology at a trade fair model tailored to sectoral demands, featuring new national and international brands.
