The next edition of TECMA consolidates its position with growth, new exhibitors and a reinforced sectoral segmentation
TECMA 2026 grows by 20%, adds 28 new exhibitors and exceeds the figures of the last edition with four months to go.
The IFEMA MADRID CITIES FORUM incorporates a fourth auditorium and expects the participation of more than 50 cities, including 20 international ones. TECMA 2026 will take place from 9 to 11 June at the IFEMA MADRID Conference Centre.
The TECMA Organising Committee is making progress in the preparations for the next edition of the International Trade Fair for Urban Planning and the Environment, which will be held from 9 to 11 June 2026, and is approaching its next edition with significant growth and a large number of novelties that will consolidate its role as a reference in the field of urban management and the environment.
With four months to go, the exhibition area has increased by more than 20%, with more than 117 companies confirmed and the incorporation of 28 new exhibitors, already exceeding the figures registered at TECMA 2024 and with forecasts of more than 120 participants.
TECMA will count on the strong participation of the industry with the presence of outstanding companies such as VALORIZA, ACCIONA, PAPREC, CONTENUR, SANIMOBEL, PREZERO, FCC MEDIO AMBIENTE, FFS GRUPO URBANOS, ROS ROCA, SVAT and SULO.
Reinforced sectorisation to maximise visibility and business
The 2026 edition, organised by IFEMA MADRID, presents a strategic expansion of the sectorisation, designed to maximise the return and visibility of exhibitors. Forty-five percent of the area will be used for urban facilities and solid waste and urban waste management, ensuring a critical mass of supply and high attractiveness for public and private decision-makers. Seventeen percent of the space will be oriented towards the urban circular economy, as well as parks and gardens, reinforcing a positioning aligned with the cities' investment priorities. The Smart Cities and Digitalisation block will account for 10% of the total, increasing the attractiveness of the event for technology profiles, engineering firms and urban operators. The ATEGRUS exhibition area will also be larger than in 2024.
MADRID CITIES FORUM grows with a new thematic auditorium
TECMA will share synergies with the IFEMA MADRID 2026 CITIES FORUM, which will expand its space and incorporate a fourth auditorium, each with a theme: Sustainable Urban Development, Innovative City, Circular City, Quality of Life and Well-being.
The forum aims to surpass the 50-city record, with an anticipated 20 international cities, as a result of new partnerships. Confirmed sponsors include FCC MEDIO AMBIENTE, PREZERO, ECOEMBES, CREA MADRID NUEVO NORTE, METROVACESA, INECO and VALDECARROS.
In addition, the next Laboratory on Urban Nature will be held on 25 February, and the Alliance for Urban Innovation, promoted with the support of the Madrid City Council, the Community of Madrid, RECI, CSCAE, among other entities, will be strengthened. The first invitations to speakers will be issued the week before Easter.
A full programme of activities
The professional programme will include the call for: The 3rd Premio Árbol (Tree Award), 20th Concurso de Escobas (Brooms Competition): Silver, Gold and Platinum and the 22nd FER Congress, within the International Fair of Recovery and Recycling (SRR), with the participation of more than 500 professionals.
TECMA is consolidating its position as the sector's major commercial benchmark and, in 2026, it will once again boost its growth by strengthening its ecosystem and generating synergies with the International Trade Fair for Recovery and Recycling (SRR), Global Mobility Call and SOCIOCARE, a new trade fair project focused on care and social welfare. With this, IFEMA MADRID strengthens the role of TECMA as the space where the solutions that will shape the future of cities are being designed today.
