TECMA finalises preparations for its next edition with 13% increase in business participation
The leading commercial platform for urban planning and the environment will showcase around 120 companies at IFEMA Madrid from 9 to 11 June 2026.
The International Urban Planning and Environment Trade Fair, TECMA, organised by IFEMA MADRID, is making steady progress towards its next edition, which will be held from 9 to 11 June 2026 positioning itself as the primary meeting point for urban planning and the environment in Southern Europe.
TECMA 2026 will host around 120 participating companies, representing a 13% increase over the 2024 edition. These figures solidify the fair's position as a strategic showcase for presenting innovative solutions, generating business opportunities, and facilitating direct contact with public officials and decision-makers in the urban sphere.
Accordingly, the upcoming 2026 edition presents an exhibition and content programme specifically aligned with the current and future challenges of urban environments. TECMA 2026 will address key areas including the circular economy, waste management, street cleaning, smart urban services, public space improvement, and climate adaptation. These themes are reinforced by digitalisation, energy efficiency, and the promotion of new governance models, maintaining a focus on offering practical and applicable innovation to municipal technical managers.
Concurrently, the Madrid Cities Forum will expand its agenda and strengthen its position with the support of strategic sponsors, establishing itself as a central pillar of the event and a benchmark space for debate, knowledge exchange, and the analysis of trends in the urban sphere.
Through this approach, TECMA is solidifying its position as the largest trade event. In 2026, it continues to strengthen its ecosystem by fostering collaboration with the International Trade Fair for Recovery and Recycling (SRR), Global Mobility Call, and, for the first time, SOCIOCARE – a new trade fair project focused on care and social welfare. Ultimately, IFEMA MADRID reinforces TECMA's role as the space where the solutions that will shape the future of cities are designed today.
