Madrid Games Week will be hosting the European Finals of the FIA-certified Gran Turismo Championships 2018 This face-to-face event will take place on 19 and 20 October at Feria de Madrid The 30 drivers from Europe who have qualified will be facing off in a bid to win the European title certified by the FIA Manuel Rodríguez, “TRL_Manurodry”, Jorge López “Williams_Coque14” and Alex Muhsen “Alexony94” will be the Spanish representatives in the final.

Madrid, 28 September 2018. Madrid Games Week is the venue chosen for the European Finals of the FIA-certified Gran Turismo Championships 2018, on 19 and 20 October at Feria de Madrid, as announced by Sony Interactive Entertainment and Polyphony Digital

This international event is one of the most important of the year in the world of eSports since, out of the 30 qualifiers from all over Europe who will be taking part in this final phase, 10 will achieve their pass to the world grand final from which the first winner of the FIA-​​certified Gran Turismo Championships 2018will emerge.

Liliana Laporte, General Director of Sony Interactive Entertainment Iberia, Joaquín Verdegay, Vice President of the Royal Spanish Automotive Federation (RFEdA), and Stephane Fillastre, Director of Licences of the International Automotive Federation (FIA), were charged with making the announcement, and they emphasised the importance of a competition on this level being endorsed and certified by the highest regulating motorsport competition body in the world.

Kazunori Yamauchi, producer of the Gran Turismo™ saga, has been asked to explain details of the competition format that will be used in the European finals. Participants will be divided into different groups such that the finalists will have to demonstrate their skills with different types of vehicles, circuits and race conditions. After the first elimination rounds, the ten best participants will have an exciting final race, culminating in the crowning of the European champion of this competition.

Among them will be the three Spanish driverswho have qualified: Manuel Rodríguez “TRL_Manurodry”, Coque López “Williams_Coque14” and Alejandro Muhsen “Alexony94”, who will compete for victory with the extra motivation and responsibility that comes with competing in the finals on home turf with the support of all Spanish fans.
