Trainee in Computer Vision
Since its creation in 2018, the IFEMA MADRID LAB Foundation has carried out systematic R&D&I work, focusing on identifying and studying new technologies, adapting them to sectoral needs, and leveraging their potential and opportunities.
We are currently seeking a candidate interested in a paid internship as a Computer Vision Engineer. The selected individual will work alongside the research team on the design and implementation of various projects focused on multi-object tracking using computer vision techniques.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, or related fields.

Knowledge of Image Processing and Deep Learning systems applied to Computer Vision, especially in Tracking and Re-Identification (ReID) systems.

Experience and fluency with frameworks and libraries such as OpenCV, PyTorch, and Ultralytics.

Strong Python programming skills within the field of Computer Vision.

Experience with version control tools (Sourcetree, Git).

Interest in research.

Proactive and problem-solving attitude.
Responsibilities:

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering and research team to develop technologies from early-stage exploration to production.

Actively participate in the definition, design, and implementation of projects, including brainstorming sessions, problem identification and scoping, solution design within the Computer Vision domain, implementation, documentation, meetings, and reporting.

Support the design and development of new algorithms and computer vision prototypes in areas such as real-time detection, tracking, and ReID of people.

Contribute to research activities in the field of Computer Vision.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience with detection systems (YOLO, Faster R-CNN, etc.) or multi-tracking methods. A portfolio showcasing previous work is highly valued.

Experience in training and evaluating Deep Learning models.

Demonstrated academic experience and participation in scientific publications.

Experience with container technologies and cloud services such as Docker, Azure, AWS, or similar.

Proficiency in English.
