The second edition of the Global Mobility Call will be held from 12 to 14 September in IFEMA MADRID’s Recinto Ferial.

Automotive suppliers design, manufacture and supply components, systems and technologies for vehicles that are increasingly safe, efficient, connected and automated.

The Spanish Association of Automotive Suppliers (SERNAUTO) will be joining the second edition of the Global Mobility Call as a supporting organisation, reaffirming its commitment to sustainable mobility and promoting a sector that has increasingly efficient production and supply processes.

This confirms SERNAUTO’s position as one of the main partners of the Global Mobility Call, following its collaboration in the first edition, where it organised a conference on “Talent in the automotive industry, the key to sustainable mobility”, discussing the importance of professional training and qualifications in the sustainable transformation of this sector.

With SERNAUTO joining the event, it will once again highlight the important contribution of automotive suppliers to sustainable mobility in designing and manufacturing the components, systems and technologies of our vehicles.

Automotive suppliers have a key role in the future of sustainable mobility. That is why they support the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), contributing not only to safer, cleaner and smarter mobility, but mobility that is more humane and committed to its value chain.

This sector is currently in the middle of a transformation towards a Sustainable Industry 4.0, a concept that covers a double transition towards a digital and sustainable industry, which involves moving towards digital leadership and climate neutrality, implementing fair transition mechanisms that don’t leave anyone behind.

This sector is responsible for more than 75% of the final value of a vehicle, and it has been investing 4% of its turnover in Research, Development and Innovation

(R&D&i) – triple the Spanish industry average – for years. A large portion of this goes towards manufacturing components, systems and technologies to make mobility increasingly safe, sustainable, connected and automated.

IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub are organising this International Congress-Expo on sustainable mobility under the auspices of the Spanish Ministry of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda, with the aim of creating a professional outreach space for cross-sector relations between companies, institutions, associations and experts, connecting the main actors in the sustainable mobility of people and goods.
