Sustainability and good corporate governance are key to sustainable mobility - one of the discussions to be held at Global Mobility Call
The conference will bring together the main international leaders in the field of mobility from 14-16 June 2022 at the Recinto Ferial IFEMA MADRID
Business involvement in multilateral and global initiatives for a more sustainable future will be highlighted, as will the role of socially responsible investors
The commitments made by public authorities and companies to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are the fundamental basis for the promotion of policies and concrete measures to shape mobility that is more sustainable. This will be discussed by the main players at Global Mobility Call - an IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub conference that aims to support the economic recovery and energy resilience that are so greatly needed, given the current urgent circumstances in Europe.
The conference will be held from 14-16 June 2022 at IFEMA MADRID and aims for institutional and business representatives, experts, academics, exhibitors and entrepreneurs to learn how mobility initiatives are aligned with the goals set out in the United Nations' Agenda 2030.
On this matter, companies have adopted Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) criteria - which is positioned by some as a benchmark for socially responsible investment increasingly seen in many sectors of the economy.
These sessions will therefore highlight topics such as awareness and the alignment of interests in companies' dual focus of running their business and making a positive impact as well as the part played by socially responsible investors, which is another factor found in the development of sustainable mobility.
Also to be discussed are strategic alignment and corporate governance around the UN SDGs and the European regulatory framework, as well as business participation in multilateral and global initiatives for a more sustainable future.
Stand-out features in the programme are the talk entitled "Sustainability and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) criteria when defining the strategy and corporate governance of 21st century companies" on 16 June by Antonio Huertas, chairman of MAPFRE, in IFEMA MADRID's main auditorium.
Costa Rica Limpia co-founder Mónica Araya will also give a talk on 16 June in the main auditorium, entitled "The new mobility and fulfilling Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)".
