The conference will take place on 14 June at the first edition of the Global Mobility Call congress, organised by IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub.

Latam Mobility participates as a Strategic Partner in Global Mobility Call.

Latam Mobility, the Latin American sustainable mobility community, will co-organise a conference at Global Mobility Call to discuss the development of sustainable mobility in Latin American countries, its relationship with Europe and the future challenges to continue this process.

Global Mobility Call, the major project organised by IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub, to position Spain as an international reference point for sustainable mobility, will include the participation of Latam Mobility, the Latin American sustainable mobility community, which joins as Latam Strategic Partner.

The congress will take place from 14th-16th June 2022. It has solid backing from institutions, associations, and leading companies to ensure a holistic approach that interconnects all the sectors involved to achieve sustainable mobility and social, economic, and environmental benefits.

We want to be the bridge between Europe and Latin America. Global Mobility Call will have a major Latin American representation with institutions, organisations, multilateral agencies, mayors and other stakeholders. All together, we can create an ecosystem of connections to accelerate this mobility transformation process,” says David Moneo, director of Global Mobility Call.

Latam Mobility has the backing of the region’s public and private bodies to transform the urban reality and consolidate a network with more than 150 partners and thousands of executives.

Theme Day at the Future Society Forum

Invest in Latam, one of Latam Mobility’s backers, will co-organise a conference at the Future Society Forum on 14th June. That day will have the largest attendance by authorities and executives. It will address energy transition and the decarbonisation process with new alternatives to fossil fuels in a general way.

Specifically, the speakers from institutions and companies participating in the conference will talk about iconic sustainable mobility cities, bridge projects between Latin America and Europe, transportation infrastructure issues and public-private co-investment, the region’s role in developing energy and raw materials for new mobility, urban trains, initiatives for multi-modal services, micro-mobility, smart cities and other topics.

The conference will be at the Future Society Forum, one of the five main themes of the congress part of Global Mobility Call. GMC’s programme will also include New Urban Planning, Economic Development & Regulation, Sustainable Transportation, and Tech, Data & Innovation.

GMC will consolidate sustainable mobility as the backbone of the social and economic change process, covered by the Recovery, Transformation & Resilience Plan. The Plan is being developed by Spain’s Ministry of Transport, Mobility & Urban Agenda, which will play a special role in the Global Mobility Call. This will be a must-attend event for international players involved in developing safe, inclusive and sustainable mobility. It is supported by the Next Generation EU recovery plan, which will facilitate investments of €750 billion over the next five years.
