CONFEBUS to collaborate on undertaking Global Mobility Call 2022
Global Mobility Call will bring together the key players in mobility from June 14 to 16, 2022 at IFEMA MADRID.
The Confederation is working on a plan that lays out the ecological transformation of transport and its road toward climate neutrality by 2050.
The Spanish Confederation of Bus Transport (CONFEBUS) has signed on as a collaborating organisation for Global Mobility Call, the project from IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub aiming to make Spain an international leader for all stakeholders involved in developing sustainable mobility.
The event will take place from June 14 to 16, 2022. It will be solidly back by institutions as well as business leaders and associations in the sector who have joined forces to consolidate the sustainable mobility ecosystem, thereby generating positive social, economic and environmental impacts.
Buses, the road toward climate neutrality
One of CONFEBUS's main objectives in environmental matters is to turn transport by bus into an icon of sustainable mobility and to lead the way toward achieving climate neutrality. Noteworthy among their many measures is their Road Traveller Transport Recovery and Resilience Plan, based on four main dimensions, one of which is the ecological transformation of bus travel, which proposes measures such as a plan of financial aid for purchasing electric vehicles, installing renewable energy infrastructures at bus depots and stations, and others that together involve an investment of over 3.5 billion euros.
In addition, it is committed to the Agenda 2030 goals, the duty to reach climate neutrality by 2050. It is also working to get the European Union to place bus travel at the centre of climate conversations because of its social, environmental, and economic sustainability.
Prestige and trade fair experience endorse Global Mobility Call
IFEMA MADRID, with its 40 years of nationally and internationally renowned prestige at organising fairs and events, has a vast background in mobility, promoting different congresses and trade fairs linked to this ecosystem.
GMC is one of the most ambitious projects integrating industrial sectors involved in this transition toward more sustainable mobility in Spain and abroad, such as automotive, technology, transport, logistics and connectivity, urban planning, infrastructure management, energy, and others, as well as generating networking and contributing to offering solutions.
The event will consist of an exhibition area and a conference area for talks and round tables, with a face-to-face format as well as having a digital platform open to the participants.
IFEMA MADRID will host the corporate and institutional stands on five thematic dimensions that cover the developments in the sector: New Urban Planning, which will address new urban models for energy efficiency, mobility and citizen-centred connectivity; Economic Development & Regulation, on the economic drive from new frameworks of public-private cooperation, business ecosystems, and regulatory schemes; Sustainable Transportation, to treat the challenges of multimodal transport, scheduling, and the best solutions; Tech, Data & Innovation, to cover the new technologies in infrastructure, data, automation, and new services; and Future Society, which proposes a global public agenda to take on the newly arising demographic and social challenges.
