Cabify joins forces with Global Mobility Call 2022
Global Mobility Call will bring together the leading international players in mobility from 14 to 16 June 2022 at the IFEMA MADRID Exhibition Centre
Since 2018, Cabify has offset all its emissions, making it the first 100% carbon-neutral mobility company in Europe and Latin America. The Spanish mobility company has committed to reducing its pollutant emissions as of 2019 and decarbonising its entire fleet in Spain by the end of 2025.
In line with its commitment to sustainable mobility and the reduction and offsetting of emissions, the multimobility platform Cabify has joined forces with Global Mobility Call 2022 as a strategic partner. This project, developed by IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub, will serve as an international benchmark for sustainable mobility, helping unify development among all the business niches involved in this transformation.
The event will take place from 14 to 16 June, with significant backing and participation that will help promote it as a driving force in international sustainable mobility. It promises to be an unmissable event for stakeholders and leading players in the development of safe, inclusive and sustainable mobility.
Cabify, a Spanish benchmark for carbon-neutral technology-assisted mobility
Created in Madrid 10 years ago, Cabify became the first company in the sector to become carbon neutral in 2018, thanks to the Carbon Neutral project, through which it comprehensively measures and offsets all emissions generated both within the company and by the journeys made by its vehicles. Since 2021, offsetting has been implemented in local projects in 7 of the countries where it operates (Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Spain, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay).
The company has committed to reducing emissions as of 2019, while moving toward the total decarbonisation and electrification of its vehicle-for-hire fleet - a goal it hopes to achieve by 2025 in Spain and by 2030 in all markets.
In parallel, the platform also promotes other types of emission-free transport, including electric micromobility alternatives such as motorcycles and scooters in cities like Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga and Zaragoza, helping to accelerate the reduction of emissions, transform consumption habits and make cities a better place in which to live. In 2020 alone, these Cabify services prevented the emission of 279 tonnes of CO2.
