Global Mobility Call launches the 1st edition of its GMC Awards
Awards will be given for sustainability, innovation, entrepreneurship and outstanding personal trajectory in sustainable mobility, in four categories.
As a new feature in its second edition, Global Mobility Call has announced for the first time the GMC Awards, recognizing the sustainability of its participants, the most innovative initiatives for the transport of people and goods, the company with the best technological solutions and the outstanding professional career in the development of sustainable mobility.
The awards, whose categories are Sustainable Participation (only for exhibitors and partners with a stand at GMC Espacio Expo), Last Mile Challenge by Las Rozas Innova; INNOWINNER Award by GMC and PERSONALITY Award by GMC, will be presented during the Global Mobility Call, 24-26 October, at the Recinto Ferial of IFEMA MADRID.
The Sustainable Participation Award, open to exhibitors and partners with stands at GMC espacio Expo, will highlight best practices in line with the goals of the 2030 Agenda, encouraging innovation, rigor in measuring results and, especially, the contribution to making participation in a fair exemplary in terms of sustainability.
The award will value the impact of the exhibitors' actions, their degree of innovation, the effort made in their application and the impulse given to the development of the culture of sustainability within the trade fair and congress sector. The decision will be announced on October 26 and will be awarded to the number of equal nominations that the jury deems appropriate. The deadline for submission will be October 24 at 3 pm.
The Last Mile Challenge by Las Rozas Innova seeks to identify and reward original and scalable initiatives that help to make the mobility of people and the logistics of goods in cities more sustainable and efficient.
The call for entries will be open until September 22nd. The 6 finalist startups will have the opportunity to present their solutions, ideas and projects. The award ceremony will be held on October 25 during the Global Mobility Call and the 2 winning projects will share prizes worth more than €30,000.
The INNOWINNER Award by GMC will identify and recognize innovative technological solutions from anywhere in the world that contribute to improving the sustainable mobility ecosystem and that have been in operation, at least as a pilot, for a maximum of 3 years.
The online call for entries will be open until 2 October. The award consists of recognition from the GMC community, the presentation of an award during the event and the possibility of presenting the project at GMC 2024.
The PERSONALITY Award by GMC will recognize the personal dedication and contribution to sustainable mobility of a professional whose practice has contributed to the honor and prestige of the profession, as well as for promoting the study and/or development of sustainability in this field.
The candidates will be selected by the Executive Committee and experts of the Program Committee, and the award ceremony will take place during the celebration of the event between 24 and 26 October 2023.
