Approximately 500 companies have applied to participate in the upcoming International Electrification and Decarbonisation Week
With seven months remaining ahead of the event, GENERA and MATELEC have already reached 75% of their occupancy compared to the 2025 edition and demonstrate a strong international presence. The initiative will once again receive support from the Institute for Energy Diversification and Savings (IDAE) and the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge.
The 2026 International Electrification and Decarbonisation Week, incorporating the GENERA and MATELEC trade fairs, is making steady progress towards its next edition and already has nearly 500 companies that have applied to participate, occupying some 28,000 square metres at IFEMA MADRID.
With seven months to go before the event, these figures already represent approximately 75% of the volume achieved at the 2025 edition, confirming the sector’s strong interest in an event that brings together, using an integrated approach, the entire energy cycle, from renewable generation to electrification and its final applications.
GENERA 2026: Renewable Energy Generation and Decarbonisation
The International Energy and Environment Fair, which will once again benefit from the institutional support of the Institute for Energy Diversification and Savings (IDAE) and the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, is establishing itself as the leading event for renewable energy, energy storage, hydrogen, energy efficiency and decarbonisation solutions.
MATELEC 2026: Electrification and Final Applications
Meanwhile, the International Trade Fair for Electrical and Electronics Industry Solutions is positioned as the technological electrification hub, offering solutions linked to electricity grids, smart infrastructure, digitalisation, energy efficiency, automation, storage and new uses of electricity. This includes key sectors such as manufacturers and distributors of electrical equipment, lighting and home automation, which are essential for delivering clean energy to industry, buildings, transport and cities.
The initiative for the International Week of Electrification and Decarbonisation will also be supported by a broad network of associations and professional bodies, including, occupying a shared stand, AFME, AEDIVE, ANESE, A3E, UNEF, APPA, SECARTYS and KNX, alongside others with individual stands and those participating in forums and activities such as FENIE, ADIME, ANFALUM, ATEG, COGEN, ASEALEN, among many others, as well as the support of the leading technical and specialised media outlets.
You can still participate in the International Electrification and Decarbonisation Week by submitting your application via the GENERA and MATELEC websites.
